eine moment bitte
live action shot. first one to respond with the name of this landmark gets a postcard!
last friday night i ventured out solo up to prenzlauer allee. a classmate Nano and his lady friend were hosting 3 or 4 of us for some cold beer and quite possibly the best spanish olive oil i have ever tasted.(from Nano's home town, of course) any hoo, right off the large drag on an abandoned warehouse i spotted this cope piece. is that a real cope-from nyc-or just some toy? as the party people passed by, i played tourist and snapped away, and began the night...
i guess they kept everything and threw out only the kitchen sink-
we received a sweet little snowfall early on last week. it snowed constant for 3 days, but only amounted to 2 or 3 inches. when it was fresh and clean and then miracuously the sun came out

meine deutsch kurse ist gut. wir lernen gross deutsch. Wir sprechen deutsch alle heute.
deutsche post accepted my families christmas gift to me as their own. so i went to complain. while the 2 post offices had no clue as to the whereabouts, this guy knew the time. his friend was real all right. smart too. when an excited lady in line tried to talk to them, they both turned their heads in tandem.
nuff said.
went to the technology museum with ehud and assaf. enjoyed the exhibits thoroughly, some good, some bad, lots of discussion for sure. trains, planes, and gross bier. although we all agreed it would have been more fun with ken kesey there
in germany they charge you a tax for watching public tv and listening to public radio. well we wont take it anymore!

january
the last picture my camera ever took. At the karl marx house and museum there was a display of his written work translated into many different languages.
i live a block away from templehof airport. now closed, but a massive spot nonetheless. wiki it if you dont know the history. nice for sunsets. the sun only appears at angles in berlin in the winter. you never really see it, only reflections on tall building windows, in the distance, and then for a sweet setting beyond a chain link fence beyond a barren airstrip with large nationalistic architecture-to the right=
this building is old. porta negra. build by the romans. in a town called trier, the oldest town in germany. long time ago. i started buggin when i saw it, walked thru it, etc. then nina starts with" well its not as old as the ruins in italy, but then you go to italy an your all wow its old, but then the italians are all oh go to greece, their ish is mad old italy dont compare." and im like, damn that building is old, nonetheless.
nope, not ashfield. somewhere southwest of deutsche eck.
ninas brother wolfram was in town. he works with a woman who does accounting for german films. she's tight with wim wenders, among others. this party was cool. good bier and lachs. all of a sudden, nina and wolframs dad calls on the house phone. hilarious.
